Peace Of My Heart - Fair Trade Clothing and Accessories

What's it all about?

Peace Of My Heart is a family owned and operated business. My husband and children help me daily to keep this thing going. It is a work in progress and we are definitely learning as we go.

The idea for operating a Fair Trade boutique sort of evolved as a result of the research I was doing in preparation for starting the business. Initially I was just thinking of doing some funky clothing but the more I learned about the garment industry and the working conditions for people all around the world, the more I realized I could never feel good about making a profit on someone else’s back.

So, I began to look at Fair Trade .  While there is no certification for garments at this time, I feel confident that the companies I am buying from are doing everything they can to ensure fair labor practices and wages for the workers who are creating their garments. Equally important to us here at Peace Of My Heart is our commitment to the environment.

That is why we choose organic fabrics whenever we can and we also buy from companies who are doing what they can toward preserving the planet, like recycling and manufacturing clothing with organic fiber.  If you ever have any questions about what we do here at Peace Of My Heart, please give us a call or send an email.
