We support companies that promote Fair Trade, organics, peace, and good
stewardship of the planet.
Sweet Grass
Sweet Grass has built a reputation as a leader in the organic clothing industry. They use only the finest organic cotton and hemp for their carefully crafted items.
Gypsy Rose
Organized Co-ops in Ecuador, Guatemala, and Nepal hand make most of Gypsy Rose's products. They are committed to Fair Trade and to protecting the environment. Begun in the late 80's by husband and wife "dead heads" as a means of staying on tour, they finally settled in Pennsylvania where they recycle everything from paper to boxes, and even their patchwork clothes and bags are made from recycled fabric.
Peace Please
Peace Please is a company with the sole purpose of promoting peace on earth. They do it in the coolest way, through fashion. They print Army surplus T-shirts with their logo. How cool is that?
American Apparel
American Apparel manufactures cool fashion at its L.A. warehouse. A great example of Ethical Trade, American Apparel pays its employees a higher than average wage and offers benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. They even offer language lessons on site for it's employees.
No Sweat
All gear is produced by independent trade union members in the U.S., Canada, and the developing world. The No Sweat sneaker is a Chuck Taylor look alike, union made in Indonesia. Each pair comes with a notecard detailing the wages and benefits of the workers. Their Rosie the Riveter T-shirts are awesome too!
