What’s so great about hemp?
Well, it turns out there are a lot of great things about hemp. From its environmental benefits to the wonderful array of products made from hemp, this plant has more than proven its worth. In fact, it is nature's longest, strongest and most durable fiber and has been cultivated for thousands of years. The first paper was made from hemp, as was the earliest known woven fabric, dating back some 8,000 years.

In fact, industrial hemp has no illicit uses and is a renewable resource that can be manufactured into a variety of items that we use every day. Anything that can be made out of wood or plastic can be made from hemp, and would be biodegradable. As our society increases its use of consumer products, depletes many of its natural resources commonly used in manufacturing, and fills landfills with waste, the use of hemp could greatly increase if approved by the government.
